Excessive pronation, arch collapse or rolling of the foot inwards causes the lower leg to rotate and as a consequence the pelvis rolls or tilts forward causing increased sway back. The result of this ‘sway back’ or curvature of the back is compensating tightness of the lower back muscles together with stiffness or tightness and common aching back syndrome.
Rebalancing of the foundation is necessary to realign the body and to reduce pressure on the body by improving body posture and this is achieved by controlling excessive pronation (arch collapse). |
